So what's your story? I'd like to hear it, and I'm willing to bet so would a lot of other people.
What's the crazy drunken night(s) that remind you of college the most? What are your best memories (blackout permitting) that you can't think about without laughing out loud or stopping for a moment to reminisce about those four glorious years that passed all too fast. The house parties, the theme parties, kegs in dirty basements, 1.75s of Bartons Vodka, drinking at 2 p.m. on a Monday just because you can, tearing Greek houses apart, hole-in-the-wall college bars, and most importantly of all, the feeling of not having a damn thing to do. Ever. Well, except maybe the two times out of the year when finals came around.
So here's the thing: I'm asking for those of you with entertaining stories of drunken college shenanigans to send me your story on a post card, just tell it in a brief four-five sentences. Have you seen those inspirational books where people tell their secrets anonymously on a postcard? It's kinda like that, except not so inspirational, and a helluva lot more funny.
My dream is to collect all of the best college memories into a single book that people like you and I can flip through in moments of real world desperation, moments when we absolutely hate life and want to sell our souls to go back to college, moments when it dawns on us that we will never again have the luxury of living in the same house, let alone the same town, as all of our best friends. Moments when we just need a laugh.
I'm realistic, I know 99% of you will look at this and not do a damn thing. Perhaps a stamp is out of your budget, maybe you're too lazy to create an interesting post card or background to write your story on. So to this I offer you a couple of options, send me your address and I will send you a stamp, and I won't judge you for it I swear. Or just email me your story and I will write it on a card myself. Or if you'd like to go above and beyond, tell your story and create your card on your own on your computer and then email it to me. It's not hard.
Every story will remain 100% anonymous, even though I think most college stories are incredibly admirable and are basically living legends, I'm not going to include any names. The only guideline is that the stories must be true.
I know you've all got brag worthy, hilarious stories that are worth sharing, so this is the time my friends. Leave your mark before 2012 kills us all. I've already been working on this for a while and have collected a few stories that I will share on this site so you can get a better understanding for the overall concept of what I'm looking for. As I start to get more I'm going to continue to upload a few that stand out to this site.
So start sending, or forever regret that your drunken college nights will be left out in the talk of the Morning After. Don't know me? Doesn't matter, the more variety I get the better. I don't care if you graduated last year, this year, 1998 or 2005, let's hear how much (or how little) the good ol times have changed.
